How a report earns its place.

The rules every report in the EV Repair Hub follows, and what happens when one is wrong.

How a report is made. From the shops' records to the page, in five steps.

Counted

Each shop's Shop-Ware records sync every night. A report starts from a count of real repair orders, never an estimate.

The shops' records

Drafted

A draft is built from that count: what owners notice, what the shops check, what the repair usually involves.

EV Partners

Reviewed

Every draft waits in a review queue. A person reads it and publishes it. Nothing publishes on its own.

A reviewer

Kept live

The count travels with the report and is counted again from the latest records, so the figures follow the shops' work.

The records, hourly

Linked down

Each shop with matching records has its own write-up on its own site, which links back up to the report.

The shops' sites

What a figure is

Every number on EV Partners is a count of repair orders: the work orders a shop opens in Shop-Ware when a car comes in and closes when the work is done. An order counts when the work was on a hybrid or EV part of the car, and it counts once, however many parts it covered. Oil changes, tires and routine maintenance are left out. A report's figure for each shop is that shop's distinct repair orders, so the shops' figures add up to the report's total.

How we count

What never leaves a shop

The hub sees counts, nothing more. The sync reads each shop's records and keeps only what a count needs: the make, model and model year, what was worked on, fault codes and the quarter the order closed.

Stays in the shop

  • Customer names
  • Phone numbers, emails and addresses
  • VINs and license plates
  • Prices and payments
  • Technicians' notes and invoice text

How figures stay live

No figure is typed. Each one is a query against the shops' synced records, counted again when a page is served and kept for up to an hour. The records sync every night, so an order a shop corrects reaches every page that counts it. The latest sync is from October 2026. If the records cannot be read, a page shows the last count it took, never an estimate.

How cars and codes are matched

A report's vehicle is matched on make and model as the shops recorded them, without regard to capital letters, so LEAF and Leaf are one car. A report about a family, such as the Prius, can count the whole family: the liftback, the c, the v and the Prime. A report about one model, such as the Prius c, counts that model only. Fault codes are matched in their standard five-character form, such as P0A80. Model years come from the records, so a report's year range is the range the shops actually saw.

Who publishes a report

Reports are built from the counts and wait in a review queue. A person reads each one and publishes it; nothing publishes on its own. A shop with no matching records does not appear on a report, rather than appearing as a zero. No one changes a figure by hand. A figure changes only when the records behind it change.

One report, each shop's own write-up

A report on the hub covers the whole network. Each shop that has records on the topic writes its own article about it, specific to that shop's records and the way it works, on the shop's own site, and that article links back up to the report.

Independence

EV Partners runs no advertising, takes no payment to place a shop or a product in a report, and does not sell leads or the shops' data. A shop appears on a report because its own records match it.

When a report changes

The counts update themselves as the records change. The words are revised when the shops' experience changes, and a revised report shows the date it was updated. A correction is listed on this page, with what changed.

Corrections. When a figure or a sentence is wrong, we fix it and say so here.

Tell us

Send the page and the number, or the sentence, that looks wrong.

We check it

Against the shops' records, not against what would look better.

We fix it in the open

A figure is fixed in its query, so every page that uses it is corrected at once. The correction is logged here.
